​Jonathan Edington has been teaching music in the Minneapolis area since 2010. As a public school music teacher, he teaches guitar, piano, drums, and voice (along with some bass and songwriting) - primarily in a modern band setting. After graduating the University of Minnesota with a degree in Vocal Music Education, Jonathan found his passion for teaching modern band and expanded his program beyond the traditional choir setting. As an experienced musician on several instruments, Jonathan has taught private lessons independently and performs locally on drums, piano, and voice in 3 different groups. Jonathan is excited to be part of the Music Lab family and looks forward to bringing his philosophy of making music accessible, fun, motivating, and student-driven. Your lessons with Jonathan may include jamming and improvising in addition to learning music notation and theory, but ultimately the choice is up to you!
