Yukina began her violin studies at age six with the Suzuki Method.
A recent graduate of the University of Minnesota, she studied Violin Performance under renowned pedagogue Sally O’Reilly. Yukina won First Place in the Schubert Club Competition 2016. She was also selected to solo with the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra as their Master's Concerto and Aria Competition winner for 2016.
Yukina is an avid performer, joining the Mankato Symphony Orchestra as Assistant Principal 2nd Violin, in addition to performing with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and Rochester Symphony Orchestra. She performs chamber music with the Prospect Strings, and tango with Rogue Tango.
In her teaching, she focuses on cultivating a solid foundation in technique, personalizing lessons to fit each student’s needs and interests, and guiding students to discover the joy of music-making.
