Banjo, Dobro, Slide Guitar, Mandolin, Mandola, Harmonica
Eldon studied music at the Cornish Institute for the Allied Arts in Seattle, Washington and also at the University of Minnesota. His areas of interest were composition, film scoring, and ethnomusicology.
Eldon grew up in the Red River Valley near Grand Forks, ND where he learned to play many instruments with firm roots in Classical and traditional American folk music. At age 11, he and his family relocated to Iran where his father took up new work. Here, he learned to play the banjo, bass and guitar. Eldon played his first gigs for the fellow Americans, British and other foreigners who were working there. Having lived both in the Middle East and the Austrian Alps, Eldon is just as comfortable playing Hindustani style music as he is playing Bach or Bluegrass.
